Johnny Creg Pickard, 60, of Rocky Face, GA, died Monday afternoon, June 23, 2014 in Cartersville, GA.
Johnny was born July 10, 1953 in Meridian, MS. Johnny worked for Dalton Paper Products for the past 24 years. He served six years in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Teems Pickard of the residence; parents, Johnny and Elois Cross Pickard of Grove Hill, AL; son, Jonathon Pickard of Calhoun, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Selena Pickard of Cartersville, GA, Christina and Josh Garnett of Calhoun, GA; step-daughters and step-son-in-law, Anita and Tony Horn of Ringgold, GA and Jennifer Lewis of Rocky Face, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Gary and Kathy Pickard and Perry Pickard of Grove Hill, AL and Lisa Teems of Rocky Face, GA; grandchildren, Kayleigh, Grant, Presley and Grier Garnett; step-grandchildren, Christopher Noland and Brandon Headrick; and special pet, BJ.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Johnny Creg Pickard will be held Thursday June 26, at 2 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Gary Pickard and Reverend Roger Kennard officiating. Interment will follow in the Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25 and from 12-2 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 at the Ponders Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
