Tennessee State Parks Kicks Off New ZIPstream Aerial Adventure At Fall Creek Falls

Tennessee State Parks, ArborTrek Canopy Adventures and Adventure Guild, LLC are hosting a ribbon cutting on Friday at Fall Creek Falls State Park to kick off the new ZIPStream Aerial Adventure Park. 

ZIPStream Fall Creek Falls will be open to the public daily during the summer season and on weekends in the spring and fall. The 2.5-hour, self-guided experience allows visitors to explore the course at their own pace. Six routes will be available, each consisting of eight-13 elements and graded from easy to extreme, reaching heights of 40 feet.

The course will incorporate a new system, which ensures 100% connectivity to the flexible lifelines that run above the elements. Certified guides will be present to provide instruction, encouragement and assistance.

 


2014 Waterfowl Blind Permit Drawings Will Be Aug. 2

Tennessee’s long-standing tradition of hand-drawn duck blind drawings will be held at the regular sites across the state on Saturday, Aug. 2. Registration for the 2014 drawings will be held from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. and the drawings will begin at 10 a.m. at most locations. 23-Year-Old Stabbed To Death Early Sunday Morning

A man was stabbed to death in Chattanooga early Sunday morning. At approximately 2:48 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to 2525 6 th  Avenue Court for a person stabbed.  Officers located a 23-year-old suffering from a stab wound to his chest.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injury.  The victim’s information ... An arrest has been made in a case in which a hidden camera was apparently placed in several local restrooms.
