Yvonne McPeake
Yvonne Johnson McPeake, 77, of Chickamauga, died on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at her residence, with her family by her side.
She was a native of Pikeville, where she was a 1955 graduate of Bledsoe County High School as the salutatorian. She retired in 1980 from South Central Bell with 19 years of service. Later, Mrs. McPeake went to work for Provident Life Insurance Company retiring in 1999 with 10 years of service. She was an active member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Chickamauga where she was a member of the Golden Bells Sunday School Class and the Joy Group. She was also a member of the Homemakers Club in Chickamauga and the Friends of the Chickamauga Library where she had served as Treasurer. Her passions in life were God, church, family, reading, baking, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ennis Leon McPeake; parents, Winfred and Evalee Johnson; and sister, Jearline Deweese.
Survivors include three children, Lee Anne (Vince) Bliss of Nashville, Russell McPeake of Chickamauga, and Glenda (Mark) Goins of Ringgold; two grandchildren, Hayley McPeake of Cleveland, and Sarah Goins of Ringgold; brother, Randall (Barbara) Johnson of Ringgold; sister, Dorothy (Don) Lockhart of Rising Fawn; brother-in-law, Bobby Deweese of Knoxville; sister-in-law, Jean Livingston of Parsons, Tn.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Fourth Floor West staff at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga for taking such good care of their mother. Also, the family would like to thank her special friends who have shown such love and support through visits, cards, prayer, and food.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, at 7 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel, with Reverends Tim Owens and Warren Moorehead officiating.
The family will receive friends at Lane Funeral Home South Crest Chapel on Tuesday, from 3-7 p.m.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 2, at 12:30 p.m. Central Time at the Pikeville City Cemetery in Pikeville, with Reverend Tim Owens officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10 a.m.-noon Central Time at the Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main St., Pikeville, Tn. 37363.
Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
