Louise Brown Helton, 73, of Summerville, Georgia, died on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Helton was born Feb. 20, 1941, in Trion, Ga., daughter of the late Jack Lawrence Brown and Ava Fulmer Fetner. She was a member of the Wayside Baptist Church and was a former president and member of the James H. Floyd State Park’s Friends of the Park.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Nettie Brown, and numerous aunts, uncles, and special relatives.
Mrs. Helton is survived by her husband, Thomas Robert Helton; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Sherrie Helton; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Christopher McCleskey; brother, Gary Hinton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Howard Dillard, Lucy and Jason Edling; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Memorial services for Mrs. Helton will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Knowles officiating.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1.
