Chattanooga Futbol Club Girls U14 won the Division ll State Championship for soccer.

The local team will play in the Region lll President's Cup June 12-15.

 Team members include Arielle Fortune, Lily Hopping, Olivia Hoffman, Maddie Reap, Lainee Bohannon, Lauren Barcelona, Carmen Ross,  Julia Kaset, Lindsay Hunkapillar, Hope Sanders, Avery Engles, Renee Hutton, Olivia Tawzer, Carly Pipfer, Lynn Wright, Lily Oren and Maddie Ferrel.

Jason Kaset is the head coach assisted by Hank Hopping.

Hamilton Heights’ girls avenged a tough loss in the 2017 Dick’s Sporting Goods national championship game in New York on Friday, routing Miami (Florida) Country Day, 71-39, in the Raatz Fense/O’Shea’s Classic in Louisville, Kentucky. Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy In Officer-Involved Shooting At Lakesite

A Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputy was involved in an officer involved shooting in the Lakesite area on Friday morning.   Authorities said it happened around 9:35 a.m. near the 1900 block of Wilkes Avenue.   Deputies were called on "an unwanted party."   There was a confrontation with deputies and a man at the mobile home was shot.   ...
