CARTA Observes Independence Day Schedule

In observance of Independence Day, there will be no CARTA fixed route bus service or North Shore Shuttle service this Friday. The Downtown Shuttle will operate on a holiday schedule with service from 9:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.  The CARTA Care-a-van will also be operating on a holiday schedule.

Booker T. Washington Pool Open For Summer

The Olympic-sized pool at Booker T. Washington State Park opened for the 2016 season on Saturday. Hours of operation are 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Wednesday-Sunday. The pool is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is $4 per person and $2 for overnight guests swimming as a group.  Seasonal swim passes can be purchased for $80 for 40 admissions. Stone Domestic Assault Case Postponed Until Aug. 9

The case in which Bobby Stone is charged with domestic assault against his wife, advisor to Mayor Andy Berke Lacie Stone, has been postponed until Aug. 9. Officials said there will be no further action until the TBI completes its investigation.  The case had been set Tuesday morning before general sessions court Lila Statom. Calling Out Bad Behavior In St. Elmo - And Response

I have lived in the St. Elmo community of Chattanooga for practicially all 52 years of my life. My grandmother moved to St. Elmo in 1919.
