Bennie Lorene Helton Barham, 70, of the Spring Creek Community of Calhoun and formerly of Charleston, TN, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at her daughter’s home.
She was a homemaker and a member of Charleston Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Ruthelle Epperson Helton; and husband, Charles Barham.
Survivors include her daughters, Julie Hodgins of Calhoun and Susan Hardy of Athens; grandchildren, Derek Barham, Tim Hodgins and Tyler Hodgins, all of Calhoun and Kristin Barham and Andy Hardy, both of Athens; three great-grandchildren; sister, Luena Russell of Winchester; nephews, Rodney Stewart of Tullahoma and Billy, Ricky and Walter Barham, all of Calhoun; and niece, Betty Lynn Barham of Chattanooga.
The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Davis and Pastor Mary Parsons officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, July 16 at 2 p.m. at Lower Spring Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rodney Stewart, Joseph Hayes, Dan Wilson, Tyler Rowland, Brandon Jenkins and Paul Brown, Sr.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15 from 5-7 p.m. at the Fike Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
