Rally To Improve Birth Is Sept. 6

This Labor Day, the community will stand simultaneously with thousands of people in over 150 cities in all 50 states, as well as cities in other countries, in peaceful, family-oriented gatherings, for the 2014 third annual Rally to Improve Birth.  The purpose is to call attention to the state of the maternal health care system and to call for evidence-based, humane birth practices.

The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.  There will be a walk to raise awareness followed by a Birth and Baby Fair at the Walker Pavilion at Coolidge Park.
