Billy C. “Bill” Hines, 85, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at the family residence. 

Bill was the son of the late Pearl and Johnny Hines and was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Hines; grandsons, Anthony Hawkins and Bradley Zanoska; his twin sister, Betty Bettis; and another sister, Bobby Stiles.

Bill was a retired truck driver driving for several different places including American Uniform and Smith Transfer. He was an avid hunter and loved Braves baseball and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife Geraldine Hines; his children, Johnnie Ruth Pinela and her husband Gabriel, Vickie Wright, Jason Hines and his wife Angela and Charles “Cotton” Hines; step-son, Ronnie Whaley; step-daughter, Brenda Purdy; grandchildren, Emily Hines, Timmy Hines, Jill Glover, Barry Hines, Terry Lee Hines, Gabriel Pinela Jr., Eugene Pinela, Billy Pinela; and Jennifer Carr; and numerous great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 16 at the Wildwood Ave. Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Rev. Benny Thomas officiating. 

The interment will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17 at the Hilcrest cemetery with Timmy Hines, Barry Hines, Terry Lee Hines, Gabriel Pinela Jr., Eugene Pinela, Billy Pinela and Tristin Hawkins serviing as casket bearers. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 16 from 5-7 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
