Tired Of The Mud Slinging - And Response

Saturday, July 19, 2014

I am so tired of the mud slinging that is going on in the 3rd U.S. House race and the 27th State House race.  This reminds me of the first time Zach Wamp ran and very late in the campaign the ads on television showed a photo of Zach with someone off camera throwing mud on the photo and  saying negative things about Zach.

Why can't the people discuss the issues and what they want for us of this district?  Could it be they do not have answers to those  questions.

Lets vote for Weston and Patsy, at least they will tell us what they hope to do for us.  They have taken the high road on this character-destroying act.

I have been actively watching the District 27 House race, and I have seen no mud-slinging on the part of Tommy Crangle's campaign.  As a small business owner, if I have a vacancy for a truck driver, any applicant should expect me to check his/her driving record.  As an "applicant" for a legislative seat who will vote on policy, a candidate's voting record is relevant information, and all candidates should expect to have their public voting record checked.

In fact, candidates should be willing to discuss up-front how they have voted in the past and why. To try to hide it from the voters or infer that discussing it is mud-slinging is really just dishonest.

Vote for Tommy Crangle.  He is a good, decent man who is a true conservative, has a great resume, and has nothing to hide in his voting record.

1971 Chattanooga Riots

So Brenda Washington "remembers," the riots in the spring of '71 and National Guard troops patrolling her neighborhood. Well Brenda, I was one of those troops patrolling your neighborhood and as the late Paul Harvey would say, "here is the rest of the story." Wilson Pickett (a black entertainer) was scheduled to perform at the Memorial Auditorium on a  Friday  night. ... (click for more)

Freedom To Discriminate

I don't need a dictionary to know Rox Exum is a white male with privilege. His chosen words and tone are inexcusable, primarily because he can never know what it feels like to be a victim of discrimination. We live in a world that is right-hand dominant, yet we don't say that lefty's chose to be that way because their selfishness drives their desire to be different. You could try ... (click for more)

McMasters Makes Tough Call To Play Volleyball At Lee

Grace Baptist Academy two-sport standout Claire McMasters envisioned playing basketball and volleyball at a small college after her career ended with the Lady Golden Eagles. So, she “looked at” Covenant College and Maryville College as two schools where she thought that would be possible to extend her two-sport status. McMasters’ recruiting shifted quickly once Lee University ... (click for more)
