Dummer Named ‘Top 20’ Outstanding AICPA Instructor

Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough announced that the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), named Randy Dummer, CPA, an Outstanding Instructor for the 6th year in a row.  He is featured in the Journal of Accountancy as a ‘Top 20 Instructor’. 

Mr. Dummer was chosen from over 200 instructors. He earned one of the highest average evaluation ratings while teaching a minimum of 10 sessions.  

He teaches seminars across the country to other CPAs on accounting and audit topics including courses on employee benefit plan audits, accounting and audit updates, compilations and reviews, and services to automobile dealerships.  

Mr. Dummer received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse, graduating with highest honors. Mr.  Dummer and his family reside in Ooltewah.

 


October 2014 County Unemployment Rates

County unemployment rates for October 2014, released today, show the rate decreased in 80 counties, increased in 10 counties, and remained the same in five counties. Study Shows 60 Percent Of Low-Income Tennesseans Face Civil Legal Problems

A study commissioned by the Tennessee Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission and the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services with the support of the Tennessee Bar Association has found that more than 60 percent of vulnerable Tennesseans face a significant civil legal need. 1 Dies, 1 Critically Injured In North Chattanooga House Fire

For the second time in three days, a house fire has resulted in tragedy with a 35-year-old woman dying and a man critically injured in North Chattanooga. Kiser Post-Conviction Hearing To Resume April 6

A post-conviction hearing in which Marlon Duane Kiser is seeking a new trial in the 2001 slaying of Deputy Donald Bond will resume April 6. Lawlessness At Heritage Park

As a frequent visitor at Heritage Park in East Brainerd, I must say that the situation is becoming slightly out of control.  To start, parking is atrocious.  The unpaved lot contains nothing but loose gravel which has naturally given way to divots in the ground assuring you a few bumps.  Why isn't this area smoothed out?  It's not worth parking there anyways ...
