It is time for yet another back room with fat cigars meeting of the Industrial Development Board to discuss the Black Creek TIF. Of course, we the people, the taxpayers, are not invited. It is “just we girls” getting together to formulate a plan on how to deal with the junk TIF bonds. Yep, that’s right - junk bonds.
It is like watching stocks crash, only in a good way because the corporations are on the losing end. Worth $9 million, plus interest at opening, these crash at the bell when one woman and her attorney put the smack down to a huge corporation.
In the back room with the fat cigars meeting, there will be a lot of, “Oh my gosh those municipal bond issues we sold just became junk. Oh my, what will the developers that are the bond holders do now?", they will ask.
