A Chattanooga woman was arrested after she and a man tried to flee from a burglary on Hemingway Drive.

When police arrived, they noticed a white truck parked at the dead end on the street. Police said they saw the couple try to escape through the front door. However, when they saw the police, they immediately ran back inside.

Police said the couple then started sneaking out the side door, where they were apprehended.

One of them admitted to police that they were attempting to steal scrap metal items from inside the residence.
