St. Timothy's Hosts Reception Honoring Bill Chapman

There will be a reception honoring Bill Chapman for his many years of service as our Parish Administrator at a reception this Sunday in the Parish Hall from 9:30 to 10:15 A.M.

The Isidore’s Garden gardeners need grass clippings to mulch around veggies. The garden plots have been weeded, watered and carrots transplanted. Mayor Berke's Homeless Veterans Committee is seeking a running vehicle for a young veteran whom the Community Kitchen has recently helped pass his boards and obtain work. Eastdale Village Community UMC And Eastdale Nighborhood Association Offer Free Produce On Thursday

Eastdale Village Community UMC and the Eastdale Nighborhood Association will offer free produce to the public on Thursday.  The event will held at the church's parking lot, at 1403 Tunnel Boulevard, and will begin at 3:30, until all produce is gone. One Accord Community Church To Hold Jim Ricketts Memorial/AWANA Fundraiser On Saturday

One Accord Community Church will hold a Jim Ricketts Memorial/AWANA fund raiser on Saturday, starting at  5 p.m.  This event is to honor the memory of legendary Jim Ricketts who went to be with our Lord on Jan. 5. City Council Winner Anthony Byrd Told He Cannot Continue Working At The County And Be On City Post; Resigns At Criminal Court Clerk's Office

Anthony Byrd, who upset City Council Chairman Moses Freeman in the District 8 council race, has been told that under the city charter he cannot remain on his county job and hold the city post. Judges Say Judge Bales Has Not Signed Letter To Governor On Medical Disability; They Can't Find Him

General Sessions Court Judge Gary Starnes said fellow Judge David Bales apparently has not yet signed a letter to the governor saying he plans to take medical disability.
