Ray, Lamar "Bud"

Lamar "Bud" Ray, 71, of Chattanooga, TN, died on Saturday, July 19, 2014. 

He was born to John and Bessie Ray on January 16, 1943 in Dalton, GA. He was a resident of Chattanooga for the last 15 years and lived in California for 27 years with his wife Penny Lee Ray who proceeded him in death. He was known as a character who always made people laugh, he will be missed by family, friends and acquaintences. 

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Foy Gentry; his son, Lamar Ray Jr.; daughters, Lauralee Hargreaves and Angela Ritter; eight grandchildren, Raylene, David, Ricky, John, Ian, Samatha, Jesse and Grace; and three great-grandchilderen, Joshua, Jacob and Aurora, all of California. 

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23 in the funeral home chapel. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, July 23 at the Wann Funeral Home & Cremation Center, who has charge of the arrangements.
