County Commissioners Greg Beck and Warren Mackey have endorsed long time incumbents Ardena Garth for re-election as public defender, and Gwen Tidwell for Criminal Court clerk.

Commissioner Beck said, "As an officer of the court and County Commissioner for several years, I have had the opportunity to observe Gwen and Ardena in their perspective positions. Therefore, because of my observations, I wholeheartedly recommend their re-election."


Burger And Bake Sale For Humane Society April 5

TN Trail Of Tears Association Elected New Officers

The Tennessee Trail of Tears Association met in Cleveland to elect officers for the next two years.  Officials said the organization is dedicated to preserving, protecting and identifying sites on the more than 5,000 miles of trail located in nine states.   Tennessee presently has 14 certified sites and four interpretive sites identified by the National Park Service. ... Firefighters Extinguish Fire At Senior Living Apartment Complex On Highway 58; 1 Resident Falls During Evacuation

A fire broke out at a senior living facility on Highway 58 Tuesday afternoon. At  2:50 p.m. , several agencies responded to the Silver Tree apartments (formerly known as Napfe Towers) at 5465 Highway 58.
