Residents of the Sequatchie Valley are invited to tour the area’s only 24/7 emergency center during Open House festivities for the new Sequatchie Valley Emergency Department on Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. (CDT), at 16931 Rankin Avenue in Dunlap, Tn.
To celebrate the grand opening of the new emergency center, officials with Erlanger Health System will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on opening day, Tuesday, at 9 a.m. (CDT) with elected officials, local dignitaries and Erlanger leadership in attendance.
The Erlanger Sequatchie Valley Emergency Department, Erlanger’s sixth emergency center, will operate as part of Erlanger Bledsoe Hospital. The new, full-service emergency facility has the capability to care for both children and adults, treating everything from sports injuries to major illnesses, 24/7, 365 days a year. It is equipped with the latest technology, housing five treatment areas and radiology and laboratory services. Emergency medicine physicians will be onsite around the clock, and an onsite helipad is available for trauma transport via Erlanger’s LifeForce air ambulances.
Sequatchie Valley’s new free-standing Emergency Department will officially open its doors for business at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
