Give Us A Pledge, Weston - And Response (3)

Saturday, July 26, 2014

Weston, so you want to be a congressman and change the way government operates in America.  I strongly agree that government is going to have to change and change soon, not five years down the road, asap as I worry for the future of my grandchildren and the America I used to know.

You are young with lots of energy as well as having the ability to get your points across.  I am just one lonely vote and you stand a chance to get my vote if you can give me a pledge Weston.  Many others may vote for you as well.

The pledge is simple and the following are just a few you will need to pledge and post the results, comments and answers to each on your website monthly, not quarterly.

How you voted on every issue.  Tell us what issues you failed to vote on.

Tell us what lobbyist contacted you or you contacted and for what reason.

Tell us who you crossed the aisle to speak with and for what reason.

Question your potential constituents on how they feel about all issues and vote the way the majority wants, not the way you or Washington wants.  Remember you are to represent, not dictate.

Respond to any questions your constituents have and not with a form letter.  Remember you are easily accessible when trying to gain votes, therefore you should be just as easily accessible after you get the vote.

To stand up against Washington and the career politicians while telling us how you are doing it.

To be humble to all with no sign of arrogance.

To be 100% truthful even if it hurts.

To be a watchdog against government waste and what action you took.

To rid our country of illegal immigrants that is costing the tax payer untold billions of dollars a year and spend it on the homeless, veterans and tax reductions for the American people.

To quit sending billions of dollars a year to countries that don’t like America and spend it on the homeless, veterans and tax reductions for the American people.

To resign your office if you fail to follow through on your pledge.

These above are very basic and there is much more you should pledge to but the pledge to the above will as least tell me if my vote should be for you.   You speak of change and now’s the time.  Washington must be shook to the core with drastic changes now, not 5 years from now.  Never do I want to hear “it’s a slow process, it’s going to take some time to make change.”  If that is your answer, you will be long gone from office before any changes possibly occur and my last vote for you.

Stir the pot, Weston, be strong and represent your possible constituents as they wish.  You make the pledge and you will have my vote this time.  If you don’t, one term should do you in.

I ask all readers to please post additional issues that Weston should pledge to and in the end we may have a contract with our potential congressman that he can’t ignore.

Give us a pledge, Weston, to rid our country of illegal immigrants.

Weston has already said he would get rid of illegals by making them all legal.

Forrest, one of the biggest lies ever told in local politics is from Chuck Fleischmann that Weston Wamp is for amnesty.  In fact the mailing Republican voters got last week doctored to look like Weston was burning a passport is illegal.  It is deceitful and personally destructive.

Chuck Fleischmann has broken the law again photo-shopping a picture.  It is disgusting and is one of many reasons people should vote against Fleischmann.

Weston is for securing the border which Congress and Fleischmann have not done.  Of course, Weston Wamp is not for "making illegals all legal".  Hopefully, people are not so gullible that they will believe Fleischmann's negative and desperate attempt to get re-elected.  People are so sick of these negative tactics. Vote for Weston and put an end to negative politics.

The erroneous and ridiculous mailing that the incumbent sent to my house with a super-imposed photo of Weston Wamp "burning a passport"......um, Chuck, if you didn't know, the Department of State handles passports, which nave nothing at all to do with immigration.

Not only was this recycle material deceitful, it was very bad Civics. But then, after reading Roy Exum's recent article about the incumbent's worse than last ratings, I'm not really surprised.

Let's Honor Luther

I would like to challenge the city.  There are two ways we could honor Luther.  Build a new facility for the Humane Society and name it after Luther.  Then we should create an academy for young people in the city to teach them how to be like Luther, learn to be of service to your fellow man. What about it Chattanooga?  Karen Dale Hixson (click for more)
