Mary Irene Rhea, 89, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at her residence.  

She was a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church.  She retired from Magic Chef/Maytag after 18 years of service and was formerly employed at Hardwick Clothes for 25 years. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Rhea; parents, Robert A. and Maudie Mitchell Tilley; and several brothers and sisters. 

She is survived by two sons, Gary Rhea and wife Kathy of Cleveland and John Rhea and wife Bonnie of Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Tanya Carter and husband Brent of Cleveland and Eric Rhea and wife Tara, also of Cleveland; one great-grandchild;  one sister, Ada Wilkinson of Cleveland; one brother, Harold Tilley of Chattanooga; and step-grandchildren, Brian Cross, Venis Mowery, Randy Lee Cross, Jason Schwerdtfeger, James Schwerdtfeger and Jessica Ownby. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 28, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Larry Humberd.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
