Demetrius Clay has been sentenced to serve 21 months in federal prison after being caught with a gun and a garbage bag of marijuana.

He appeared before Judge Sandy Mattice.

Chattanooga Police last Sept. 16 responded to a domestic disturbance call involving Clay and his wife. When the first officer arrived, Clay ran out the back door into some woods. He later said he was taking out the garbage.

Officers checked the woods and found a garbage bag with gallon-size bags of marijuana inside.

In the residence they found a .38 Titan revolver hidden in a Nike shoe box under his bed.
