James Ronald “Ronnie” “Killer” Killingsworth, 80, of Signal Mountain, died on Tuesday, July 29, 2014.

He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and a member of the Alhambra Shrine Temple.  Most of all, Ronnie was a wonderful husband, father and friend.

He was an outstanding football player during high school at Central.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila; daughters: Deborah Killingsworth Wheeler (Brian) of Tullahoma and Iris Gayle Killingsworth of McKinleyville, Ca.; grandchildren:  Paul Wheeler (Lindsey), Michael Wheeler (MacKenzie) and Nessa Szekeres; sisters, Diane Haugan of Apopka, Fl., Iris Faye Killingsworth of Chattanooga and Linda Hoge of Fort Oglethorpe; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Dr. Walter Ring Officiating and the eulogy by Jerry Lingerfelt. Other speakers include Deborah Killingsworth Wheeler, Paul Wheeler and Michael Wheeler. Music will be provided by the Scenic City Chorus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Scenic City Chorus, 1402 Hubbard Road, Signal Mountain, Tn. 37377.   

The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, (423) 877-3524.
