Vote For Lamar -- And Response

Wednesday, July 30, 2014

Please vote for Lamar Alexander for senator on Aug. 7.

Lamar has a history of serving the people of this great state. His conservative and rational positions on issues important to the voters of the state of Tennessee are out in front and are easily ascertainable. Equally important is the manner in which he comports himself, as a gentleman who articulates the positions of his constituents while being civil to those who are not of like mind.

Unfortunately, there are those who oppose our conservative statesman who are not civil. They also are not adherents to Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment of presenting a united conservative front to the liberal agenda. Recently, at a gathering of Lamar's supporters, the incivility of the supporters of another candidate was in full bloom. Apparently, rather than being able to fund or have their own gathering, they had only the ability to follow Lamar to heckle him, video his supporters walking in and out of a local popular restaurant and yell at those supporters entering or leaving the restaurant.

These less than civil activities have galvanized my support for Lamar and have led me to write this letter.

I urge everyone to vote for Lamar.

******************

Lamar Alexander votes at least 62 percent of the time with Democrat President Barack Obama and some passionate conservatives are determined to let the uninformed voters know it by doing whatever they can, legally, to let everyone know. That is the American Way, to be brave and take action, legal action. Nothing the folks Mr. Fleenor spoke of was in the least illegal or even wrong. It is their right to speak out.

However, because some passionate conservatives are determined to let everyone know this by being very non-discreet, some people are willing to send Lamar Alexander back to the Senate for another six years? If you want a Senator that votes with Barack Obama the majority of the time, yes, send Lamar Alexander back to the Senate. If you want someone with a view point that is different than Obama the majority of the time, elect Joe Carr.

I’m as bad as anybody else.  Sometimes I get into a lazy, stereotypical mindset. I start believing that most 17-year-old boys stay out late, wake up really late, and have only one thing on their mind.  I love it when I’m proven wrong. Let me tell you what happened Thursday night.  Central High junior Jacob Gray and Ooltewah High junior Mason Chamberlain ... (click for more)

Kordell Stewart’s broad shoulders were more than enough to carry his White County teammates on a mind-boggling, second-half offensive assault rarely seen on basketball courts in the Chattanooga area, or anywhere else for that matter. Henderson scored White County’s first 16 points of the second half and powered the District 6-AAA champion Warriors to a 53-45 come-from-behind ... (click for more)
