Dorothy “Dot” Brackett, 91, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in a Chattanooga health care facility.
She was the daughter of the late Columbus and Mittie Shell Dixon; and was also preceded in death by her son, Terry Brackett; a grandchild; and a sister, Alma Crye.
She and her husband attended Washington Ave Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Hubert T. Brackett; her granddaughter, Crystal Summers of Cleveland; great-granddaughter, Tabatha Teri Summers of Cleveland; sister, Sue Dixon Vaughn of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held Friday, August 1 at noon at the Wildwood Ave Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Beecher White officiating. The interment will follow in the Hilcrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 1 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
