Mabel Joyner Johnson, 85, of Rossville, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at her residence.

Mrs. Johnson was born April 22, 1928 to the late John and Mabel White Joyner in Collierville, Tn. She was a loving mother and grandmother, loved to cook for her family and friends, and was of the Baptist faith.  During her spare time, Mrs. Johnson enjoyed watching TV and working puzzles. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Charlie Johnson, Sr., grandson, James Andrew Perry III, great-granddaughter, Amber Doerrwaechter, four brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Tom (Lisa) Donahue, Houston, and Charlie (Renae) Johnson, Water Valley, Mz.; daughters, Carolyn (Terry) Goza, Flat Rock, Al., Janice (Garry) Chapman, Rossville and Beverly Johnson, Rossville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Richard Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
