Gene Kenneth Johnson, Sr., 71, of Chickamauga, died on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Johnson was retired from Brown Brothers Construction Company and was a member of Power Point Ministry Center. He also volunteered for the State of Georgia and ministered in the Walker County Prison. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Johnson and Margaret Phillips.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Johnson; children, Annette Sanders, Lamar Johnson, and Buddy Johnson, all of Rossville; two sisters, one brother, six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; very special friend, Candy, and a special friend of the family and former pastor, Tim Ashley.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with his special friend and Pastor Andrew Towe officiating.  Burial will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
