Chuck Fleischmann Is The Superior Choice - And Response (2)

I am a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and I can promise you that the fight for freedom never ends.  In a recent Gallup poll, 72 percent of American citizens expressed that the biggest threat to our freedom is big government. Every issue in every campaign should be viewed through this prism.   When government grows, we sacrifice part of our liberty.  It’s as simple as that.  We are seeing it every day. The government has expanded far beyond it’s Constitutional constraints and now controls or heavily regulates the primary sectors of our economy.  Health care, transportation, land, energy, housing, finance, environment, education - all have fallen prey to government overreach.

Chuck Fleischmann understands this reality.  His opponents do not.  Nor do millions of others.  And that is disturbing.

With the exception of properly maintaining our military, the goal of Democrats, Progressives, Socialists, and Communists is the growth of government - in every way imaginable.  The desired endgame is control.  Who, then, stands in the way of this quest for power by those who are blind to the lessons of history?  Conservatives. Some Republicans.  Essentially, anyone who believes in and is willing to fight for limited, Constitutional government. 

Chuck Fleischmann understands this.  Obviously, his opponents do not.

I am a Freedom-loving American.  I and others like me (Conservatives, Republicans, Libertarians) will not be well-served if those we elect go to Washington with the goal of “reaching across the aisle” or “compromising to get things done.”  We are being VICIOUSLY opposed by MASSIVE government devotees. These devotees are people who vote to increase the size, scope, and power of government at every turn and they will continue to do so at every opportunity.  We must defeat them.

Reaching across the aisle?  Compromising to get things done?  What aisle?  What things?  These are vague political cliches uttered by people who are confused. These are phrases politicians use when they are wanting to please, avoid clarity, and trying to slide by.  

Freedom-loving people understand that the way to improve our lives and preserve our liberty is to convince and persuade other citizens that conservative principles work.  Conservative policies are superior.  We believe that the rule of law, individual liberty, and free markets are the source of prosperity.  Freedom-loving people do not believe that that our lives should be governed by some bureaucrat, autocrat, or dictator.  Individual liberty is what guarantees our freedom.  An ever-expanding government and those who vote for it’s expansion are not the solution.  They are the problem.  Does anyone recall Barack Obama, Harry Reid, or Nancy Pelosi compromising with Republicans?  Of course not.  The only party expected to compromise is the party who wants to limit the control of Washington politicians.

Those who support big government must be defeated.  This weekend, we are celebrating the genesis of our fight to defeat an oppressive government that had overstepped its bounds.  I find it ironic and sad that we must engage in a similar battle some 238 years later.   

We must be proud of who we are and what we believe in.  We don’t need any more politicians who are squishy and weak, and who obfuscate to mislead voters.  We need principled people who understand freedom and liberty.  In short, we must be red, white, and blue.  Grey won’t get the job done.

Chuck Fleischmann understands this.  His opponents do not.

When Weston Wamp fought the traffic, went through security, etc. to meet and greet President Obama, that told me all I needed to know about him. Many people say that they would surely shake hands with the president if they had the chance. Well, if he walked up like he did Joe The Plumber, maybe, but then you would ask him many questions or tell him your thoughts, if you were a conservative.

 However, to jump through all of the hoops, as a complete civilian, not in any capacity of holding elected office, since Weston never has, to meet and greet the most liberal president in history should tell any real conservative much.

 I agree with Deborah Rhea's summation of the situation. The nation elected someone "for change", "to reach across the aisle", "he is cool", " he is smart", etc. for president over six years ago. A few polls are now showing that person as being voted the worst person to hold that office since World War II. That just happens to be the man Weston and his father met and greeted when he came to town a few months ago, Barack Obama.

I wrestled both in high school and college. Before and after every match I shook hands with my opponent. Most of the time it was done before and after I rubbed their face in the mat and kicked their butt. A few times it was the other way around. However, it is what real men do. Bear Bryant always told his boys, “When you knock the other player down, grab his hand and help him up, then tell him you’ll be back.”

While I’m not at all a Barack Hussein Obama fan, I am a competitor and a gentleman. You shake hands with the President of the United States of America when he comes to your city for a visit. It’s how you show you have class and good raising. It is rude and unwise not to. It’s even worse to send him a harsh letter at the same time, which I consider not being able to man up for face up. Oh, I understand why he did it. It was to look tough and big to those who approve of bad behavior.

Look, I don’t know how you guys were raised but my mother and father taught me to do the right thing because it would be remembered that way by those who matter. Disrespecting the office of the President of the USA is not the right thing, regardless of how bad a president he has been, and he has been the worst.

Weston Wamp has been the one to show class. We need a change in Congress and Weston Wamp is our best chance.  He will show his stuff on the mat because that is where it will matter and effect the change we need.
