Review for Watkins Family:

Judy Watkins and her two adult children - Todd and Lorie are members of the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame. They continue a path sharing their love of Jesus through acoustic music touring across the United States and Canada.

“Our latest project is one of the most exciting recordings we have ever done,” Lorie said. “We really searched to find just the right songs to reflect the sound and image we are wishing to share with those who have followed our career.

“This is our way of sharing our thanks for all the support we have received,” she said.

The Watkins Family’s latest project is “Heaven's Worth Waiting For yielded three songs landing on various charts in the Top 10 for southern, bluegrass or country gospel – “She's Working On Her Testimony,” “Sometime's You Gotta Rock The Boat,” and “What A Wonderful Name.”

The CD produced by Grammy winner Mark Fain, Grammy nominated Karen Peck Gooch, and Danny Jones followed their acclaimed project “Darkness Wept” which brought the popular radio singles “He's Still God,” a number 1 song, “Love Stood Alone” and “Round The Last Turn.”

The Watkins Family and its members have received multiple nominations for the Front Porch Fellowship Bluegrass Gospel Music Awards.

Mountain Cove Bluegrass is a  band comprised of talented young musicians  from two Chattanooga area high schools. Originally founded during school lunch periods in 2008, Mountain Cove Bluegrass has garnered frequent news media attention for outstanding instrumental work, close vocal harmonies, and their energetic stage presence.

Banjo player Cody Harvey started Mountain Cove Bluegrass in 2008 during lunch breaks at Signal Mountain Middle High School. The young musicians also jammed together whenever possible at Walden Ridge’s famed Mountain Opry, where Cody met two band members from Hixson High School. The group began performing in late 2008, gaining audience approval and local media attention. Their first CD, “New Generation,” was released in late 2009, and their second CD, "Back Home” was released in 2011. Three members of the group have received the Pearl and Floyd Franks Scholarship.
