City Completes First Part Of Deal To Preserve Lincoln Park

The city on Tuesday completed the first part of a deal with Erlanger Hospital to preserve the core of the old Lincoln Park by the hospital.

The City Council approved the transfer of eight acres in Alton Park to the hospital.

The hospital later is to transfer five acres of Lincoln Park to the city.

Lincoln Park was an early park for black citizens at a time when they were not allowed in Warner Park..
