Edna Blackwell Irwin, 90, of Apison, died on Thursday, July 31, 2014.
She was a graduate of the Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing, Class of 1946, and retired from the Hamilton County Public Health Department.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Ernest E. “Bill” Irwin.
She is survived by a brother, Claude Mongle; her sons: Bill, Dale, and Mickey Irwin; six grandchildren: Anne Irwin Thomas, Chad, Megan, Nathan, and Dale Irwin, and Norman Worthington; three great-grandchildren: Diana and Julia Worthington, and Walker Thomas; also several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be in Apison Baptist Church on Tuesday, Aug. 5, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Pastor Tylan Blansit will conduct the service at 1 p.m. in the church.
Interment will be in Plowman Cemetery, Apison.
