On Monday, Southern Adventist University’s McKee Library, in conjunction with Southern’s School of Computing and Physics Department, is hosting an intensive one-day workshop that will cover the basics of maker education, a trending topic in academic circles - including pedagogy, technology, and practical implementation.
"Presented by Steven Kurti of Table Top Inventing, this course will help people understand the terms 'makerspace,' 'maker movement,' and 'maker education.' Administrators, teachers, and students studying education will find the knowledge shared both philosophically grounded and filled with practical experience," officials stated.
The workshop lasts from 8:40 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free, though donations are being accepted. Continuing education credit is available for a fee. To register, or for more information, email email@example.com.
