Martha E. Smith, 86, of Pikeville, TN, died on Thursday, July 31, 2014.
She was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church. Some of Martha’s favorite activities included sewing and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Smith; parents, George and Annie Yearwood; brothers, Richard, Chess, John, Glenn, Mack and Harvey Yearwood; sisters, Nan Oakes and Belle Barnes; grandchild, James Robert Schoolfield III; and a daughter-in-law, Hazel Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Brady (Shirley) Smith, Spencer, TN and Barry Smith, Pikeville, TN; daughter, Brenda (Jim) Schoolfield, Crossville, TN; grandchildren, Bobby (Amanda) Schoolfield, Abigail Schoolfield, Tammy (Dennis) Deweese, Travis (Elizabeth) Smith and Adam (Chasity) Smith; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Noah, Suzanna, William, Morgan, Audrey, Jack, Holly and Seth; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A Celebration of Martha’s Life will be held on Sunday August 3, at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Freddie Savage and Bro. Bobby Schoolfield officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 4 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pikeville Cemetery.
