MerylAnne Dexter Is Miss Rocky Top 2015

Signal Mountain's MerylAnne Dexter will be returning to the Miss Tennessee Pageant next June after being selected Miss Rocky Top in Knoxville on Saturday night.  

The GPS graduate is a senior at Brigham Young University where she is majoring in Genetics and Biotechnology and aspires to become a genetics counselor.  She won overall talent and a $500 scholarship.  

Her community service platform is the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Charges, Bond Reduced For Mother Of Child Who Died In Hot Car

Charges and bond have been reduced for the mother of an 11-month-old child who died in a hot car on the parking lot of a chicken place on Tunnel Boulevard on July 8. Katrina Holloway, 42, was shot and killed early Thursday morning, and her boyfriend, Reginald Oakley, 43, has been arrested.   Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot at 1:30 a.m. to the 1200 block of Cypress Street Court.
