1 Person Killed In Accident On Highway 58 On Friday Afternoon

A single vehicle traffic crash in the 8000 block of Highway 58 was reported to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s at 3:10 p.m. on Friday.  

The traffic investigation is in the preliminary stages, but investigators said the vehicle, a 2004 Honda, was traveling southbound on Highway 58. The driver for unknown reasons left the roadway, hitting a ditch, causing the vehicle to go airborne, landing in the trees, and ejecting the driver, who died from the injuries she sustained in the crash.

The single occupant/driver was a white female, 35. No further information regarding the victim will be released at this time, pending notification of the next of kin. 

Additional information involving the crash investigation will be released as it becomes available.
