No More Radio Mocs - And Response (2)

Saturday, August 16, 2014

I have faithfully listened to UTC football games on 105.1 for several years. I am a good Mocs fan. But no more radio for me.

The new station 96.1 has a range of five miles. There will be few listeners.

I am on the outs. I am disappointed.

Mr Waddell,

I assume you have a computer or a smart phone since you are on the Chattanoogan website. All one has to do is go to  thebeatchattanooga.com and click on the listen button and you may listen to the Mocs anywhere in the world.

Dr. Waddell,

You can listen to the Mocs live using iHeart radio. Just search "Chattanooga 96.1 FM" on Google and the link will open. It would be a shame if you missed broadcasts in the future.

Thank you for your many years of service to thousands of UTC graduates including me.

PS from Tom Waddell

Thanks for the response, folks, but I called the 96.1 people and they do not stream UTC football games.

Hi, Morgan. Thank you for your nice comments.

CCA, Your Failure To Act Is Criminal

Anyone taken into government custody is mandated to be protected in a safe and clean environment, and receive medical care if an inmate complains of symptoms.   The case of the young woman who died at the workhouse is absolutely outrageous and should be a wake up call to the elected persons enabling environments that violate very simplistic standards.  ... The Need For More Behavioral Health Beds Is Real

HCA and CADAS should be ashamed for objecting to Erlanger’s plans to open an 88-bed behavioral health center in Chattanooga. Both are citing a lack of need for more behavioral health beds in Chattanooga as the basis for their objections to Erlanger’s request – which is completely laughable.   HCA and CADAS would be far more credible had they been honest in their objections. ... Pinkston Says Offer Was Made To Dismiss Lawsuit Against Him If Prosecution Of Detective Burns Was Dropped; Judge Greenholtz "Greatly Bothered" By Any Such Offer

District Attorney Neal Pinkston said at a hearing Tuesday that an offer was made to drop a lawsuit filed against him by Gatlinburg detective Rodney Burns if he would dismiss two perjury counts against Burns. East Hamilton Gets First Volleyball Win For Brian Wood

The East Hamilton Lady Hurricanes had lost two tough district volleyball matches to start the season, but new coach Brian Wood had complete confidence in his team prior to Monday’s non-district match at Silverdale. Turns out the veteran coach knew what he was talking about as the Lady Canes beat the Lady Seahawks in three straight, winning by scores of 25-22, 25-17 and 25-20. ... (click for more)
