No More Radio Mocs - And Response (2)

Saturday, August 16, 2014

I have faithfully listened to UTC football games on 105.1 for several years. I am a good Mocs fan. But no more radio for me.

The new station 96.1 has a range of five miles. There will be few listeners.

I am on the outs. I am disappointed.

Mr Waddell,

I assume you have a computer or a smart phone since you are on the Chattanoogan website. All one has to do is go to  thebeatchattanooga.com and click on the listen button and you may listen to the Mocs anywhere in the world.

Dr. Waddell,

You can listen to the Mocs live using iHeart radio. Just search "Chattanooga 96.1 FM" on Google and the link will open. It would be a shame if you missed broadcasts in the future.

Thank you for your many years of service to thousands of UTC graduates including me.

Thanks for the response, folks, but I called the 96.1 people and they do not stream UTC football games.

Hi, Morgan. Thank you for your nice comments.

John Shearer: Memories Of Watching 38 Baylor-McCallie Games

Back in the fall of 1971 when I was in the sixth grade at Bright School, I listened on the radio to the exciting football game between Baylor and McCallie schools, the first since the series had been discontinued after 1940. I was hoping to attend Baylor School as a student the next year, so I was quite excited that Baylor won, 9-7.  And the next year as a seventh-grader, ... (click for more)
