Jesse James Butts, 70, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Sunday, August 3, 2014.
A resident of the Ringgold area for most of his life, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a former employee of Southern Cal Transport where he worked for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Schultz Butts; father, William Butts; mother, Ola Buckalew; step-fatjer, Marvin Buckalew; sister, Barbara Sewell and brother, Billy Butts.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lora and Theodore Rabun of Ringgold; sister, Linda Worley of Ringgold; two brothers, Willy Butts of Ringgold, and Donald Ray Butts of Clovis, Ca.; two grandchildren, Jesi Rabun and Theodore Rabun Jr., and several nieces and nephews.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
