St. Timothy's Has Several Upcoming Activities

Women of St. Timothy's are  invited to the 30th Annual Episcopal Church Women Fall Ingathering, Meeting and Luncheon which will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Ordination of Women in The Episcopal Church. It will be Saturday, September 13 at 9:30 a.m. Eucharist with Bishop Young will be at 10 a.m. It will take place at Grace Point Camp and Retreat Center, 300 Chamberlain Cove Rd. Kingston, TN 37763.

St. Isidore's Ministry will be hosting a "cooking fest" this Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.  They will prepare several rounds of meals to be frozen and delivered later to meal recipients. Contact Laura Witherspoon at lewitherspoon@earthlink.net or 886-9820 with questions.

Blessing of the Backpacks will be at the10:30 service this Sunday, followed by the Rally Day picnic.

Man Barges Into Woman's Home In MLK Neighborhood; Tries To Rape Her; Photos Of Suspect Released

Chattanooga Police said a man barged into a woman's home in the MLK Neighborhood around noon on Tuesday and tried to rape the woman.   Police said, "The victim was followed by the suspect into her residence where the victim was then attacked. Moccasin Bend Resident Asks City To Move Police Firing Range So He Can Open Bed And Breakfast Inn

A Moccasin Bend resident is asking the city to move a police firing range from off the historic Bend so he can open a bed and breakfast inn. Steve Holmes also said the move needs to take place because the new Moccasin Bend National Park is set to begin implementing its management plan early next year.
