Reflections Gallery Has Literary Art Show Aug. 28-Oct. 23

Reflections Gallery at 6922 Lee Hwy. will persent Literary Art, a fine art show celebrating books and their readers, Aug. 28-Oct. 23. 

The exhibit features local artists and crafts people with altered books, sculpture, painting, photography and more used to illustrate the world of the bibliophile.

There will be a free opening reception on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 4-7 p.m.  

The gallery will also be open during the Chattanooga Gallery Hop on Sept. 6, from 2-8 p.

m., with an open house and altered book workshop.  Pre-registration for the workshop is $45.


Freedoms Foundation Holds Spring Luncheon

Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, Tri-State Chapter will hold its spring luncheon  at Ruth's Chris Steak House, at  11:30 a.m . on May 16.   The program will be "Spirit of American Youth Leadership Conference at Valley Forge", presented by the students and escorts.    Reservations are due by  May 6 , $30 per person. ... Chick fil A Finishes First at Walker County Chamber Of Commerce Golf Tournament

Sixteen teams enjoyed a day of golf at the LaFayette Golf Course on Thursday for the Walker County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Golf Tournament.   First place honors were awarded to Chick fil A, second place went to The Bank of LaFayette, and third place to Flegal Insurance. DA Tells Dalton Jury Cell Phone Of Skyy Mims Was Found At Murder Scene

District Attorney Bert Poston told a jury in Dalton on Monday that the cell phone of Skyy Mims was found at the scene of the murder of convenience store clerk DK Chaudhari.
