South Pittsburg Picked No. 1 In District 6-A

Saturday, August 2, 2014 - by special report to chattanoogan.com

South Pittsburg has been picked No. 1 in the Coaches' Predictions in Murphy Fair's Tennessee High School Football magazine.

The Pirates, coached by Tim Moore, lost to Union City in the 1A state championship game last year. It was Moore's first season as head coach.

Moore has concerns with depth this season, especially on the defensive side where only four starters return.

But the worst was when a truck he was in slid off the roadway into a canal. “It was like ... (click for more)
