Man Shot In The Leg: Won't Give Police Details

Police said a man was shot in the leg on Saturday night, but he would not provide details on what happened.

At 7:10 p.m., Chattanooga Police Department responded to an area hospital on a reported gunshot wound. Police said the victim, Cordarius D. Bennett, 25, has been uncooperative.

The cause and location of the incident have not been determined, police said. The report listed 4900 Brainerd Road.

Bennett said he heard four to six shots and then realized he had been wounded. 

He was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. 

Bennett was arrested on previous unrelated warrants.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available. Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423-698-2525.
