Smith, Euldine "Dee"

Euldine "Dee" Osburn Smith died on Saturday, August 16, 2014 due to complications from heart disease and vascular dementia.  

Dee was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.  She had an accomplished career as a CPA, having graduated magna cum laude from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and then passing all four sections of the CPA exam on the first attempt with one of the highest scores in the state of Florida.  She worked in public accounting for a few years, then worked for a privately-held company for several years as CFO before retiring early due to illness.  Dee enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, sewing, and gardening, and recently enjoyed singing in the senior choir at church.

Dee is survived by her husband of 50 years, Edward, as well as her daughter, Kim (Ron) Booth, son Greg (Allie) Smith, grandson, Matthew Frick, granddaughters, Ashley (Mark) Dunnam, Carlie and Mackenzie Smith, sister, Lorene (Gene) Pierce, brother, Marvin (Betty) Osburn, brother-in-law, Joe (Mary) Smith, sister-in-law, Jane Smith, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and close friends.  

Willie Kitchen will conduct the memorial service in Christ United Methodist Church on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 3:30 p.m.  

In lieu of flowers, the family donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.  

Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
