Oleta Thurman, 91, died on Wednesday, August, 20, 2014 at Soddy Daisy Health Care Center.
Oleta was a member of Middle Valley Church of God. She retired from BI-LO after 20 years of service.
Oleta was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Talma Thurman; brothers, Quentin, Hoyt and Cline Thurman; and sister, Christina Smith.
Oleta is survived by brother, Theodore Thurman; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 22, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.
Funeral services for Oleta will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
