John David Jaynes, Jr., 60, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, August 21, 2014.

David was known for his generosity, sense of humor and love of all music- especially the blues. David was a member of  Plumbers  and Steamfitters Union Local #43.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Jaynes and sister, Donna Lassetter.

Survivors are his wife, Lisa Jaynes; children, Lauren (Matt) Bernstein and Joel Tate; father, John D. Jaynes, Sr.; siblings: Janis Hutsell, Ellen Copeland, Allen Jaynes and Sondra Gagliardi; and several nieces and nephews. David will be greatly missed by all of those who loved and admired him.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.
