Quilt For A Cure
Quilt For A Cure
Every year during National Assisted Living Week, a quilting group led by the residents at Morning Pointe of Hixson creates a special quilt to be raffled off at the grand finale of the senior idol talent show. The raffle takes place at the assisted living community and all proceeds benefit the local Alzheimer's Association. This year in keeping with the Magic of Music theme for National Assisted Living Week, the residents incorporated musical pieces into the quilt by embroidering the titles of their favorite songs.

Raffle tickets for the event can be purchased at Morning Pointe of Hixson, located at 5501 Old Hixson Pike in Hixson.  You can buy up until the night of the Senior Idol Talent Show, starting at 7 p.m. on Sept. 11. at Morning Pointe of Hixson.
