Chattanooga Airport #43 On List Of Airports For Best Fares

The Chattanooga Airport is #43 on a list of affordable airports compiled by Cheapflights.com.

The site does an annual survey of the average fares at U.S. airports.

Atlanta was #73, while Nashville came in at #71 and Knoxville at #91.  

The average Chattanooga fare was $372.

Sarah Stephens, of the Chattanooga Airport, said, "We think this is a great message for reminding area travelers to check pricing out of CHA first, especially if they haven’t compared our fares to those of the surrounding airports in a while."

Signal Mountain Man Charged In Traffic Death Of Tunnel Hill Woman, 28

Authorities said a Signal Mountain man was driving when his vehicle struck and killed a woman walking along a road at Ringgold, Ga., on Thursday night. Tyler Alexander Lemley, 20, was charged with DUI. Other charges are pending.
