Stone Memorial Picked Ahead of East Hamilton In 3-4A

Crossville's Stone Memorial has been picked to win the Region 3-4A high school football championship in Murphy Fair's Tennesee High School Football magazine. Stone Memorial won the league last year with a 6-0 record and an 11-1 overall record. Coach Ted Gatewood's East Hamilton Hurricanes are picked to finish second. Wolcott Shoots 65 In State Match Play

Fresh off winning the Choo Choo Invitational, Ben Wolcott shot 65 on Thursday in the opening round of the 16th Tennessee Match Play Championship at The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay. Man, 28, Shot And Killed In East Chattanooga

A 28-year-old man was shot and killed in East Chattanooga early Friday morning. The victim was identified as Jeremy Clark. At 1:20 a.m., Chattanooga Police officers responded to 2008 Glass St. on a person shot. One victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
