1 Killed In Early Morning Accident On Brainerd Road

A person was killed early Friday morning, in an accident on Brainerd Road.

At approximately 3:14 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a single-vehicle traffic crash at 3100 Brainerd Road.

Investigators determined that the driver of the vehicle was traveling west on Brainerd Road when the vehicle struck the concrete exterior of the tunnels. The driver was unresponsive on the scene.

HCEMS transported the driver to a local hospital where the driver later passed away due to injuries sustained during the crash.

At this time, investigators are attempting to notify the family of the victim. Chattanooga Police will release the victim’s identification once the family notifications have been made.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
