Polk County Picked To Win District 5-AA

Polk County's Wildcats have been picked to win the District 5-AA championship in the Coaches' Predictions published in Murphy Fair's Tennessee High School Football magazine.

Coach Derek Davis returns only five starters returning on defense and two on offense, but his team is still picked to take the district title.

Vest Wins Cleveland Invitational In Playoff

The Chattanooga Rail Runners basketball team won a pair of road games this weekend to improve to 6-1 and clinch the regular season title of the Central Basketball Association. Motorcyclist Dies In East Brainerd Crash Sunday Night

A motorcyclist died in a crash in East Brainerd on Sunday night. At approximately 10:07 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to 8776 Igou Gap Road. It was found that t he motorcyclist left the roadway for unknown reasons. T he rider was pronounced deceased on scene by HCEMS. I nvestigators are working to determine the cause of the crash. Erlanger Chooses Epic Software For New $100 Million Electronic Medical Records System; CEO Judy Faulkner To Visit Chattanooga

Erlanger CEO Kevin Spiegel announced that the Chattanooga hospital has chosen Epic Systems for a new electronic medical records system that he said will cost close to $100 million over 10 years.
