Fire Causes Injuries At House In Soddy Daisy

A fire caused injuries at a house in Soddy Daisy on Saturday night.

It happened just before 10:30 p.m. on Pine Street at Dayton Pike.

A man who lived at the residence went to the hospital. He was apparently cooking when the fire began.

A firefighter went to the hospital due to heat exhaustion.

Harrison Man Charged With Throwing Girlfriend In Ditch; Putting Knife To Her Throat

Authorities said a Harrison man threw his girlfriend into a ditch and put a knife to her throat before she was able to get away. Terry Davis Jr., 28, of 9010 Harrison Bay Road, is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping.
