Peggy Landers
Peggy Watkins Landers, 79, of Chattanooga, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones on Friday, August 29, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Jean Watkins; and her husband of 57 years, Donald Roland Landers.
Granny is survived by her children, Penny Mahoney, Jeanne (John) Milner, Amy (Charlie) Kelly and Bobby (Lee Ann) Parker; brother, Bill (Beth) Watkins; Grandchildren, “The Cousins” Lance (Jenny) Milner, Laura (Ross) Bohannon, Robert Milner, Grace Milner, Captain William Mahoney, USM, Peggy (Russ) Molyneux, Houston Mahoney, Meaghan Kelly, Shannon Kelly, and Mary Cabell Kelly; and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Mattie and Ava.
Mrs. Landers was a member of First Centenary United Methodist Church and was May Queen at Central High School in the Class of 1953.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Aunt Hildegrade, Uncle Dorman and Kenny and Carol Wilhoite for all their love and support, and also Hospice of Chattanooga and Preferred Care at Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Inner City Ministries at First Centenary United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
