Funeral Service Is Tuesday For Lookout Valley Woman Who Died In Motorcycle Wreck

Funeral services will be Tuesday for a 41-year-old Lookout Valley woman who was killed in a wreck on South Broad Street on Thursday morning.

Julie Huckabee died when her motorcycle collided with a van that was turning onto 35th Street.

She was a lifelong resident of Lookout Valley and graduate of Lookout Valley Class of 1991.

Surviving include: son, Matthew Huckabee, daughter, Sawyer Vicars; mother, Donna Blevins Huckabee, and brother, Dennis Huckabee, all of Chattanooga.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Ryan Funeral Home in Trenton, Ga.,  with Jerry Blevins officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens – West.

Family will receive friends 4pm until 8pm Monday and 10 am until service time on Tuesday at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, GA.

Deputy Beaten After Vehicle Crashes In His Yard Sues Officers

A man who was mistakenly beaten by officers who had been pursuing a pickup truck that crashed into his home has sued Hamilton County and the officers for $700,000. Aaron Lucas Shelton and his wife, Heather Nicole Shelton, filed the suit in Circuit Court. Aaron Shelton is himself a deputy sheriff.
